zakinthos is a wonderfull place my husband and i have been there for twelve years cant keep us away peole are so friendly and make you very welcome. laganas is the tops and the kontonis apartments are great with friendly and welcoming owners. the best restaurant is loganda, and the bar called the bar code owned by frankie is a must, you must give it a try if you go out there. so be ware guys we wil be back. from your indian man and wife

i went to alykes in september 2004. stayed in koukounaria hotel, had a wickd time visited the water park in sarakinardo the latest water park in zante it was fab had a great time. theres a lazy river, 7 large slides, large swimming pool,jacuzzi, and a small area for younger children. there is a place to eat but the food isnt up to much there is a gift shop and you can get your photo as you go down the slide they are only 3euros. defo going bk this yr to the same hotel it was wicked stacey

We were in Zakynthos late september ealy october last year and it was the best holiday we have had for a long time we stayed at the jupiter hotel in tsilivi and it was excelent the accomadation was good the staff also very helpful but best of all was the company and food from Zeus run by two brothers who know how to make you feel welcome and the food was out off this world we will be going back this year

went to zante june-july 2004 stayed at tsilivi stayd with ste parents but had my cusine with us as well had the best holiday ever i cant fault zante one bit you had everything that you could want nightlife and relaxation in one. i am goingh back with work m8s next year but to lagnas. what else can i say except what a fab holiday and what value for money. i would say to anyone book with kosmar cos the reps are fab and also make your holiday g8. anyone visiting tsilivi must eat at dennis\' and go to jokers bar cos the staff there are g8 and if you want fun go there. zante i love it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We strongly recommend that you visit Benikos restaurant in Tsilivi for excellent food, huge portions and very friendly people, hosted by Becky and Nikos - Don\'t forget to try the Strawberry Cheesecake (thanks Carol!) mmm delicious!! i have recently got back from tsilivi and it was i think the best holiday i have ever had. I went with my family and friends and we stayed in the yanna studios its was brilliant. i would deffinatly reccomend tsilivi to anyone its great for the whole family, you\'ll meet great people not only holiday makers but locals aswell. i just have to say you must go on a island tour, visit the paradise bar and calypso restaurant, you wont regret it kim x x

Tsilivi, Zante.
Just returned from a fabulously relaxing week in Tsilivi, staying at the Planet Bar appartments with 11 of my girl friends (ages 30-55!)...What a lovely holiday! A safe, clean, friendly place with lots to see and do, and a very warm welcome to all visitors, they really couldn\'t do enough to help. We highly recommend the Levante Speed-boat trip which is far from \'speedy\', a fun and relaxing day for all family where you are encouraged to drive the speed boat, educated about the island\'s Turtle population (and get to see them swimming naturally in their own habitat) and very carefully manoevered into narrow caves where the boat takes anchor and you can swim in the crystal coloured coves. Absolutely breathtaking, with a warm and happy atmosphere created by Captain Spiros and his mate. Massive thank you to all involved in making our holiday so memorable. This is definately a place to go and unwind. x x x

Zante is a beautiful island , the beaches are out of this world, the Wreck beach is UNIQUE and the north of the island is a great experience ! If you have been to Zante once you will always go back and never get enough of it !

My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon in Tsilivi, Zakynthos, and just wanted to recommend a few things for anyone else planning to go.We stayed in the hotel Zante Maris which was fantastic, and very reasonable if you book direct. If you are planning any trips, visit the Dionisos tour company.The ship wreck tour and turtle treck were amazing-just don\'t forget your swimming cosie!
If you are looking for a great place to eat in Tsilivi, it\'s got to be KOUKOS, the Greek nights are not to be missed, and you won\'t find better food or hospitality in the resort. We can\'t recommend it enough.

Can\'t recommend any apartments / hotel...... BUT..... if your brother-in-law to be is looking for a place to propose at sunrise / sunset check out Cameo Island on the right of Laganas beach. Reached by a wooden walkway. I think it\'s a private island opened to the public. If interested you can always check it out in advance when you are out there ...or.. maybe some can update this site. Me and my boyfriend love it in Zante, we stay in Laganas at the Cactus apartments. We went in August 2003 with 8 other people, we went back in May 2004 just the two of us and we are returning for the third time with 6 other people in September. Cant wait. The best place to eat is Orange Bar, just off the main road, and we found the best bars for friendly staff were \'G Spot\', \'Cubaneros\' (on the Beach) and \'Walkiki\' down the main strip. Another great place to eat is \'Sirrocco\' on the beach. Everyone we met had visited Laganas before or wanted to book to go again. I think its got a wide variety of things to do for all ages, the beach is fantastic and all the Greeks would go out there way to help.

Zante was excellent, i didn\'t want 2 leave! I so want 2 go bk there nxt year! There was so much 2 do especially at night, the factory club was banging! Just like to say that the Hotel Metaxa in Kalamaki is our favourite place to stay in Zante. Stellios the owner is a great bloke and nothing is too much trouble for him.
Out two favourite restaurants are Paolos and Michaelos.
Paolos is just up the road from the Hotel Metaxa while Michaelos is just about as far away from the Hotel Metaxa as is physically possible while staying within the boundries of Kalamaki.

We like the Hotel Metaxa so much that we are returning there for our 4th stay in 5 years, can\'t wait.

Can\'t wait to get back!

Well wot can i say apart from tsilivi is the best place in the world. I went there in june for 2 weeks and met my future husband Costas, came home for 4 days and went back to be with him. I am now back in England for a few weeks and then i am returning, he is coming to england on oct 26th once the season has finished. Just got back after a week in Zante. Stayed at the Planos Apartments in Tsilivi. Loved every minute of it except the earth tremors at 1am one morning.Was a bit concerned what it was at first. All the Greek people are so friendly and would recomend it to anyone. Can\'t wait to go back.

We stayed in the Tsilivi Admirals 31 Aug-8 Sep & it was brilliant. The veach was ok but the water was fabulous. The restaurants are gorgous and the nightlife was ok but we did go when the season finished. Enigma was the best bar 4 us (because of the fishbowls) and the best reataurant was Zeus, as the food was delicious.

We spent a brilliant time on zante. The island is soo beautiful full of flowers and the people are so friendly.Weather brilliant food yummy and the beaches inviting. Our accomodation was realy ethnic one room (shower and toilet seperate) surrounded by olive trees just outside the greek village of Lithakia about 20 minutes by car from the airport. It had all we needed down to the washing machine hairdryer and TV and fully equiped kitchen. Small stairs led to a double bed under the beams of the roof which our son Michael especially had fun with.The local beach Agios Sostis small and pretty was enjoyed by all of us. Tavernas right along the beach serving wonderful greek food. I loved the greek salad and my husband enjoyed the local beer called Mythos.
To get arround the island we were pleased that we hired a car as without we would not have been able to appreciate the beauty of the whole island. Our accomodation gave us a real feel of greek life especially being situated amongst greeks and not tourists.

My husband & myself are going to Alykes in june. We are staying in the Nikos studios.
Does anyone know anything about the Nikos studios and Alykes. Are the studios nice , clean & not too noisy and how is Alykes?
We like more restaurants and nice small bars than loud
nightclubs. We also like little shops & streets where you can stroll around.
Spend last year 1 week in Cran canaria, Playa de ingles.

Went to the TZante hotel in summer of 2001 & 2002, Great Hotel and great owners.
Outstanding night life, spent most of it in rescues, Poters bar & Medusas.

I am reading all these comments about "wicked" holiday and "crazy night life" at Rescue etc and I feel kind of jealous. On the other hand I am about to start enjoying Zante from another point of view this summer. You see ,in July I am going to be a mother for the first time.So,no night life for me (at least this summer!) but quiet afternoons by the sea at Kalamaki (ideal even for babies) and long walks on the beach. Maybe you'll see me some evening at bar MEDUSA in Laganas though (best "clean" coctails and drinks all over Zante) with my friends Niki and Thanos(the owners) who are also newly parents! It's our children's turn to taste the fun of Zante from now on I suppose!!

Hello all,we havejust come back from the president apartments in Laganas and it was the best hotel/apartment we have ever stayed in,the rooms were immaculate and the staff were so friendly.The weather was superb every day between 25 and 30 degrees c which was better than expexted for mid october.All of the restraunts are good but the one we liked best was Georgeios mexican.Dont bother going on the smugglers cove trip to see the wreck you spend most of the day on the boat which is all right if you like sailing.The local beer is called Mythos and it is a good brew although you do get a bit sick of it after drinking it all week.A good place to go for breakfast is the Toad in the Hole restraunt just round the corner from apartments it is run by english people and is a good hangover cure.Anyone need any info please e mail me and il try help.

went to Kalamaki in september and had the best holiday of my life,Kalimaki is so relaxing by day and it can be as quiet or as lively as you want by night.We meet some lovely people and visited some lovely places,my favorite bar was the SAVOY,the owner Lambros is the most welcoming person I have met and I am surprised that no one has mentioned him yet.The cave bar is also a must and Patries+percs which serve beautiful cakes,coffees and cocktails.I AM DEFO GOING BACK NEXT YEAR!!!!

Just got back from Kalamaki 24 hours ago. what a fantastic time! We stayed in fabulous Amarylis apartments, family run and so friendly. Superbly clean and only bulit 1 year ago. Spent most of our time in the resort, especially at Downunder Bar run by the craziest Aussies in the whole world! You'd be mad not to go there. See ya next year guys! Lou and Caz xx

Kalamaki is really great who ever visits zante you have TO GO TO THE BLUE CAVES AND THE SHIPWRECK it was fantastic stayed in anagenesis apartments and manager and people were really friendly any one want any questions write back this Holiday was the BEST of my LIFE

Just back from Tsilivi on Saturday 5th Oct. Really enjoyed the holiday. Stayed in Alexandra Beach Hotel at the top of the very steep hill! Rooms were clean, staff friendly enough but the selection of food at breakfast left a lot to be desired. There's only so much cheese and ham you can eat in a fortnight! Nightlife was a bit quiet, Kaliva Bar had the best footie coverage, watch out for Beano at OZZYs, he's a shark at killer pool. Anyone looking for a traditional english meal i.e. McDonalds! there's one in Laganas. Hi to Sandra and Billy, Carly and Rachael from Flint!!

Hi, we have been coming to Tsivilis since 1989, (a total of 22 times) as you may gather twice a year for several years.(back again in October) The Island is spectacilar and we have enjoyed imensly every time. The people are wonderful, and in our humble opinion The Olive Tree in Tsivilis is the best eating place in Greece, Lakis the owner is fantastic. I strongly recomend Zakynthos and everything about it!!

Just come back from Alikes and all we can say was we had a fantastic time.

If you want a nice meal we can recommend two nice resturants, Paradosiako on the main road between Alikes and Alakanas, and Paporo in Alikes. The stiffado we had in Paporo was the best ever tasted.

At night the Iris bar is the place to go. Nikos, Tina and Sakis are really friendly and make you feel very welcome.
The round the island boat trip is not to be missed, it is very reasonably priced and you are out all day. They stop several times for you to swim off the back of the boat. It is a really lovely island and we will certainly be back.

Just got back from Tsilivi. Had a wonderful time. If anyone is going there I highly reccomend going on one of Spiros' boat tours. You book it through Nevante Tours, who are constantly on Tsilivi beach. Spiros is an absolutely great captain and tour guide. His boat holds about 24 people max, which is just right. Depending on what tour you book he takes you to the Blue Caves, the Ship Wreck, the Keri Caves, and shows you the Skinari Lighthouse, which is at the northern tip of the Island. He takes you to a restaurant and you have the chance to swim there. It's a brilliant tour and you're missing out if you don't try it. Please do!

i came back from staying in Tsivili. lovely place am really depressed coz i want to go back best places to eat are the appollo and the olive tree. stayed at the Amarylis Studios and it was lovely the staff in the pool bar were welcoming. At night i found the best bars to go are Jokers Paradise Reportage and rectors bars all the greek blokes are sexy!

Me and my boyfriend went to Laganas in June, 2002 and had a ball!! We went snorkelling, went on two cruises (this is a must!) the Mare Mare boat is fantastic. Highly recommend Laganas to anyone out there thinking of going. Also recommend the Helen Studio Apartments which are ran by Tassos and his family. Very nice family and lovely apartments
